Borosilicate glass is a material highly resistant to thermal shock and dishwasher safe. Its chemical composition maintains unadulterated the level of acidity of any liquid or food contained. The vacuum area between the two walls allows for thermal insulation and prevent condensation on the outer surface. As a result, the temperature of hot liquid or food is maintained for longer than that of other materials such as porcelain or ceramic. The same is applicable for cold liquids and food, the desired temperature is maintained for longer preventing the “sweating” effect on the table and hands.

blomus SABLO Handleless Thermo Coffee Mug was designed by Frederike Martens, a German industrial designer with emphasis on glass and ceramics. Frederike designed the SABLO line taking inspiration from the natural materials of sand, clay and water. The shapes are soft and inviting with pleasantly rounded edges and a slightly rough surface in some areas and glazed in others. SABLO stoneware is made from colored clay and a unique mix of quartz, minerals and oxide. Stoneware is defined as a group of ceramic products and is used to produce plates, dishes, cachepots and bowls, molded at very high temperatures using special casting techniques. The high temperature during the firing process ensure stoneware is more stable than clay and less translucent than porcelain. The colors, shapes, appearance of the glaze as well as the overall look depend on the firing temperature and time and may vary slightly from piece to piece - each piece is unique and may show individual structures and shades. The clay of SABLO is fired at a very high temperature, therefore doesn't require all over glazing. The textured unglazed portion is a soft beige, reminiscent of the natural sand and clay from which the piece is made.

A beautiful example of Scandinavian design, these white porcelain Thermo mugs combine both form and function whilst retaining a cool and contemporary aesthetic. The fine grooves on the surface reference early Art Deco style and give a minimalist decoration but at the same time allow the user to grip the mug safely. Meanwhile, the double layer of the mug keeps the contents warm whilst not burning your hand. Swedish royal prince Sigvard Bernadotte was perhaps Georg Jensen’s very first design star. His work displays an appreciation of craftsmanship combined with modern innovation and he was credited with starting the house’s transition from Art Nouveau into a more functionalist, Scandinavian sensibility. His timeless pieces have become the inspiration for the Bernadotte collection of tableware.

This striking set of mugs takes inspiration from the design of Japanese tea sets and features the signature grooved surface that can be found across Sigvard Bernadotte's designs. The cups' hollow structure is designed to prevent the pieces from overheating – allowing you to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in good style.
