Country / Farmhouse Porcelain China Dinner Bowls

The Butterfly Ginkgo collection celebrates the representation of flora as fauna. Michael's fascination with a particular type of ginkgo tree, the Ginkgo Biloba, or "Butterfly Ginkgo", which grows with a double leaf reminiscent of a butterfly's wings, gave rise to a fantasia image of the plant. Executed at the highest level of handcraftsmanship, each piece is rendered in solid brass with etched cocoon-shaped vessels. The pieces in the collection are a tour de force of Indian craft and capture the poetic spirit that is so deeply indicative of Michael's work. "The first time I saw this tree, it looked like it had been completely overtaken by butterflies as if they would all take flight the moment I walked too close or made a noise. The idea that the leaves could evoke the beauty of butterflies was magical to me, like trees that can metamorphose from flora to fauna in the blink of an eye."

Inspired by 16th-century Palissy ceramics, where texture is prominent, this collection emerges as a sensory experience for the table, in both dinnerware and serveware pieces. Ideal for rustic settings, its white glossy glaze also works beautifully to contrast with more modern or sophisticated spaces.

A down-to-earth and present expression on the table. With a color palette in four elegant earthy colors, Rhombe Earth invites us to slow down, to be present around what we eat, and to the people we eat with and to notice the beauty of the tableware we eat from. The series' smallest bowl, 4.3" in diameter, comes in dark gray slate, which, like the other muted earthy colors in Rhombe Earth, brings out the service's iconic relief pattern in a new, different way, inviting us to go one layer deeper and pay attention to the food in the bowl, the senses and the conversation with the others around the table. As in Lyngby Porcelaen's popular Rhombe Color series, all four beautiful colors in the Rhombe Earth series—slate, marble, clay and moss—have been carefully selected by the design duo Stilleben, consisting of Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft. Use all the different Rhombe Earth pieces together in your table setting and let the different sized plates peek out from under each other so that the warm colors are allowed to talk together. Of course, the plates, mugs and bowls in Rhombe Earth are also perfect together and separately alike as a complement to your Rhombe Color collection or in combination with the classic white Rhombe service, where the gray and brown shades of the individual Rhombe Earth pieces together with Lyngby Porcelaen's lines will create a modern and casual look and stand beautifully against the white porcelain.

An earthy and balanced look for your table. With a new color palette in four elegant shades, Rhombe Earth invites us to slow down, be mindful of what we eat and who we eat with, and to notice the beauty of the tableware from which we eat. The serving bowl in the series has a diameter of 17.5 cm and is available in the light-brown color Clay. Just like the other muted colors in the collection, this brings out the Rhombe tableware’s iconic relief pattern in a new and different way—inviting us to go deeper and take note of the food in the bowl, our senses, and the conversation we have with others around the table. Like Lyngby Porcelæn’s popular Rhombe Color series, all four beautiful colors in the Rhombe Earth series—Clay, Marble, Moss, and Slate—have been carefully selected by the design duo Stilleben, consisting of Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft. Use the different Rhombe Earth pieces together in your table setting, letting the various plate sizes peek out from underneath one another in matching warm and earthy tones. The plates, mugs, and bowls in Rhombe Earth are perfect to use either together or separately as a complement to your Rhombe Color collection or in combination with the classic white Rhombe tableware. Here, the gray and brown shades of the individual Rhombe Earth pieces, together with Lyngby Porcelæn’s lines of perfection, create a modern and casual look that contrasts beautifully with the white porcelain.
