The Lastra Heart Appetizer Plate is a truly charming piece, and it is a wonderful way to show your love for your dear ones. Each dish comes in beautiful Italian-style wrapping. Lastra's design was inspired by the circular wooden slabs used for centuries to create the outer mold in cheesemaking throughout Italy. When fashioned together with twine, the hoop was left with a slight overlap to help maintain the shape of the cheese mold. Maestro molder Stefano Roselli incorporates the overlapping detail into the entire design, from its foot to its rim. A dark dusting on the edges of each piece suggests the ash that was used to preserve these cheeses and highlights each unique silhouette.

Taking inspiration from the natural materials of sand, clay, and water. The shapes are soft and inviting with pleasantly rounded edges and a slightly rough surface in some areas and glazed in others. Made from colored clay and a unique mix of quartz, minerals, and oxide. Stoneware is defined as a group of ceramic products and is used to produce plates, dishes, cachepots, and bowls, molded at very high temperatures using special casting techniques. The high temperature during the firing process ensures stoneware is more stable than clay and less translucent than porcelain. The colors, shapes, and appearance of the glaze as well as the overall look depend on the firing temperature and time and may vary slightly from piece to piece - each piece is unique and may show individual structures and shades.

Blomus Kumi ceramic plates create a beautiful dining experience, either every day or on special occasions. The tabletop range features typical Japanese shapes in natural colors, and in addition to typical tabletop items, also includes traditional Japanese items such as a small bowl for soy sauce and the characteristic tea mug without a handle. It is created with the Japanese process of reactive glazing, which comes out differently with every firing and reacts to the slightest variations of oxygen in the kiln. True to the Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi, in which beauty is found only in the imperfect, the pieces will feature slight variances such as dots or irregularities which are part of the reactive glazing process. A seemingly random collection of objects, the table service comprises a number of items including a tray, a board, a carafe, plates, bowls, beakers, and cups. The project, designed by david Chipperfield, was inspired by vernacular ceramics from Korea, Japan, and China, and conceived as an exercise in refining functional household objects. The name "Tonale" refers to Giorgio Morandi's use of color tonality imbuing his daily objects with a sense of individuality. The objects are produced in a variety of materials including enamelled steel, glass, earthenware, and wood.
