Champagne has a way of making a glass matter more than usual. The Regalia Champagne Glass holds 4.5 oz and is hand painted in 14-karat gold over handmade glass, real gold laid on by hand rather than printed, with decoration drawn from the ornate emblems and crests associated with royalty, a fitting source for a glass that only comes out when something has gone right. Designed in Italy and made in Poland, each one is painted individually, so the gold sits a little differently from glass to glass and no two are quite alike. Keep a few on a bar cart for the toasts that come without warning, or set them at every place on New Year's Eve and let the table do the celebrating for as long as it wants to.
