The Melamine Lastra White Twelve-Piece Place Setting, four dinner plates, four salad plates, and four cereal bowls, makes up a full table for four, which is most of what a summer house or a lake kitchen needs. The shapes come from VIETRI's Italian Lastra collection, designed in Italy and molded in the Philippines in shatterproof melamine, light enough that children can carry their own plate and sturdy enough that a drop ends with a bounce instead of a sweep-up. White across every piece, with a sheen that keeps the set from looking like camping gear. It is built for the Italian way of eating outdoors, where lunch runs long and nobody is asked to be careful with the dishes. Dishwasher safe, so a week of outdoor breakfasts and grilled dinners never turns into a backlog at the sink.
