I use this for single meals (oatmeal, peas, grits, etc.) that can be eaten out of a bowl. I warm this in the oven prior to use and it tends to keep my food warm for at least an hour. Sometimes I cook tiny soups in it but be mindful of no lid. Perfect item for small portion, slow eaters.

I love this bowl. Its great for mashing herbs and spices as well as heating sauces and sides. The natural properties of cast iron heat evenly and hold temperature very well. The enamel coating means no seasoning and easy clean up.

Perfect bowl for a queso fundido, warm your choizo , chicken, carnitas... etc, add you chilis and the queso blaco the cast irom will crisp up the edges of the cheese and keep thit warm and melty.

I use these bowls for so many things...they look terrific on your appetizer table with nuts, dips or cheese spreads. But since they are amazing Staub cast iron they, of course, should also be used for piping hot single serve portions. Think french onion soup (or any soup), sides of mac and cheese browned under the broiler, pot pie, cobblers and crips as well as molten lava cakes.

Perfect for serving condiments, sauces, salsas, and dips for chips, pita triangles, or warm bread. Also nice to crush herbs from the garden or from your windowsill pots, or place on the table for added pizza ingredients, like pineapple. So many uses and can go in the oven and in the dishwasher, although I prefer to hand wash. It's Staub, so you know it's quality!
