Hard porcelain meets soft silicone in this Contrast Mug, which is quite deliberately both traditional and innovative in its idiom. The inspiration for the delicate pink shade of this Fluted Contrast mug comes from the pink Dahlia that blooms during the warm summer months. Combine the mug with other pieces from Royal Copenhagen for a personal and contemporary style. Fluted Contrast represents a perfect fusion of aesthetics and functionality. The design is elegant and contemporary, created with a deep respect for Royal Copenhagen’s history and design tradition. In the making of the mugs, silicone was introduced to Royal Copenhagen for the first time. Silicone is practical when holding a warm mug and adds a touch of contemporary informality and a rainbow of colors to the world of royal Danish porcelain.
