Compared to the old blue fluted china of which this is development, the quality just isn't there! The new porcelain is less translucent and looks to me to be thicker, more like the traditional ceramics put out by Royal Copenhagen. And in view of that, the prices seem outrageous, even though Wayfair sells it below the price of anyone else in the USA. This is a special Christmas present that someone really wants. If it weren't, I'd wait until I could get to Copenhagen and buy the old stuff at a flea market, cheaper and better. Not Wayfair's fault -- but I expected more from Royal Copenhagen!
