great tray - good size for appetizers or dinners.

The Le Creuset stoneware serving platter is an ideal size for everyday serving. If you have, say, a 25-pound turkey to serve up, this is NOT your platter. Break out that huge one in the back of the cupboard and be happy. However, if you are serving four to six people with an everyday—or even festive—meal, this is your serving platter. In fact, I bought two different colors for just that reason. Pot roast with vegetables? Yep! Perfect! Sandwich Supper? Put the bread on one platter and the fixin's on the other. Problem solved! When the meal's over, rinse the platters and into the diswasher they go! Then store them in the cupboard with your other dishes, because they fit just fine (oh, sure, you may have to rearrange a few things, but that's always the case when you add something). In short, I'm tickled silly that I acquired these platters. Like all Le Creuset products, they're worth a few extra bucks because my grandchildren will inherit them—and the fond memoried they bear—when my kids no longer use them. These platters fill a needed niche in my ability to put a family meal on the table with ease and style. Every home should have at least one. And the price is right! Where's the down side?

The Le Creuset platter arrived as scheduled and is a perfect holiday gift for a dear friend who hosts a lot of dinner parties. And the red color goes really well with her Fiestaware dishes!

Exactly what I was looking for in a smaller serving platter. Matches all my other Le Creuset pieces as well as my kitchen. Couldn’t be happier!
