The dinner plates are large, probably an inch larger in diameter than a normal sized dinner plate. They pair up perfectly with the appetizer plates which I also ordered. The edges are a brownish bronze color and look very nice on a table.

BEWARE - this is NOT a set of 12. It is a set of four. The plates are gorgeous and great quality, but the shipping fiasco almost made me give 1 star. Wayfair's policy is that you must return the other set before they'll ship another. Which meant I got another set of four but had not returned the first (thankfully it's a 30-day return window). Had to go through the entire process a third time to get the full set. Still making sure I won't be charged for not returning the original two sets of four. Third time's the charm? If I'd not had any problems I would have put five stars. Be sure to measure your cupboards--these are large plates!!!

However, their larger size, at 12.25 inches, is a bit too big for standard dishwashers, which might be a drawback for some. Despite this, their durability (ceramic, scratch resistany) and attractive appearance make them a great addition to any dining collection.

I have to say I was so extremely disappointed in the product. I read all reviews and hoped to get something special. Considering the price i expected to be happy with my purchase. Those plates are so horrible. Really shocked how sad they looked. I would not keep them if they would be free.
