Artist Janice Sadler created her painting series in watercolor as an ode to her southern California home. Janice particularly likes working in watercolors, because "the subtle colors intermingle, wash and flow into each other and new colors evolve from it". Janice is inspired by the ocean and local flora. This watercolor series is ideally suited to recreating the visual flavor of the seaside.

Raised in Los Angeles, California, D’Alessandro was the youngest of three brothers. When art competition was a form of play for the brothers, it later grew into his obsession. D’Alessandro attended the Art Institute of California where he explored mixing mediums as well as digital. He also attended Illustration, Sculpting, and Fine Art workshops in Fullerton Ca. After spending long periods of time studying different techniques, D’Alessandro's art became increasingly influenced by artists from the early 1900s. During D’Alessandro’s studies, he painted many different themes. He painted with restless intensity, often painting from morning until night. D’Alessandro was able to indulge his earliest artistic preferences for people, nature, architecture, and landscapes in his illustration and personal pieces. He also painted family, friends, and gardens. He has done commissioned work for a variety of clients in music, publishing, and editorial. His work has been exhibited in numerous private and public collections.

This painting is spectacular! I'm so happy with it. It's the perfect mix of grays and blues that I was looking for. I was very hesitant to buy artwork without actually seeing it, but I can say that the delivered product looks exactly as the image on the Perigold site. I also opted for having it delivered inside my house versus left on the step. The delivery people carefully handled the painting and were very professional. There wasn't a mark or ding on the box. Carson is actually a pseudonym selected by an artist wishing to acknowledge her paintings in this uniquely expressionist style. “Whether I’m capturing an autumn stroll through the park, a sunlit afternoon in an English country garden, or a group of couples enjoying a ballroom dance in the 1920s, my work always tells a charming story.” The artist is practiced in a variety of media in the traditional fine arts, including oils, acrylics, and watercolors. The drama of each piece suggests a dauntless yet subtle hand behind the curtain, much like the demeanor of the artist both confident and refined. Sadly, the artist known as Carson died in 2008.

Fern studied drawing and painting at CSU Long Beach where she trained under influential professors, but most of her experience comes from her personal practice. She works in all mediums, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, and gouache, but also likes to experiment with textiles and fiber arts. Fern finds opportunities to explore and experiment with colors and shapes. She’s found inspiration from daily life and the things around her: “Art is a means to preserve and find meaning in life.”

Chris Dunker has photographed industrial culture for over two decades. His Father introduced photography to Chris at an early age. Chris attended Al Weber Workshops and classes at the community college where Chris’s Father taught photography. Dunker earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Art and Design with a photography concentration and a minor in Philosophy from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. In 1995 he completed a Masters of Fine Arts in photography from Utah State University. Chris grew up in China Lake, California which is in the isolated and remote high desert east of the Sierras. This austere and harsh environment is punctuated with mining outposts, rock art, and industrial-military structures, all influences of Dunker’s formative years. A strong interest in industrial music and performance groups like Survival Research Laboratories expanded his understanding of how industrial dynamics could be integrated into art forms and how an aesthetic could be derived from objects of utility. As an Assistant Professor of Photography at Utah State University, Dunker taught History of Photography and many other classes. Research in this field broadened his awareness of how photographers consider the role of industrial culture in relation to the human condition.

Nicolette Mayer, the acclaimed product, wallpaper, and textile designer whose Wallpaper and Fabric collections are distributed through Scalamandre to the trade. Now Nicolette Mayer ventures into Bespoke Art, creating a new panel on Acrylic called Tree of Life, which can also work with SingleTree of Life, which together as a trio, becomes a Triptych. Recently, two sets of this Triptych were placed by Designer Cindy Rinfret on both sides of the main room in Kips Bay Showhouse in Palm Beach. Seen in Architectural Digest, Veranda, and Elle Decor, among many other magazines, this artwork is timeless Moorish and ottoman-influenced, yet modern and chic. The entry and living room at the prestigious Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach, this important design event is the Florida iteration of the esteemed Kips Bay Decorator Show House in New York City. Nicolette Mayer’s Morrish grasscloth on metallic paper wallpaper titled Topkapi Garden was the inspiration for Cindy Rinfret’s entire design scheme of the Living Room and Entry, which is the first space that one enters when visiting the Kips Bay Decorator Show House.“Topkapi Palace, Iznik style pottery, and the beautiful Rugs in Palaces old and new inspired this design which presents a re-imagination of the ideal Ottoman aesthetic, with a new kind of chic that is entirely unique,” says Nicolette Mayer. Adds Cindy Rinfret, “This printed Morrish art inspired our color throughout the room and paired beautifully with the existing stone floors and arches. The space is so dramatic in scale, it needed a statement which was achieved with this gorgeous paper and the staggered Currey light fixtures.” Nicolette Mayer Wallcoverings were cut and applied next to the beams and dark blue ceiling, making for a custom, show-stopping experience upon entering the Show House. Unlike many Living Rooms, this space feels collected and lived in and just begs to be the site of a fabulous party. The historical reference in the design of the Topkapi Garden wall panels adds to the authentic, collected feeling of the overall design scheme. Nicolette Mayer, the designer, expertly incorporated lush blue colors that are fresh and modern, blended with themes that date back hundreds of years. Tree of Life is Art inspired by the Iznik tiled wall murals at the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, Turkey. A tree, tall as minarets and underplanted with hyacinth bells, often immortalized on tiles in an alcove in the harem, once the most private-and forbidden part of the palace.

This piece is not described well on the Perigold website. First of all, there is no mention that it comes in two pieces, not one. Second, we are not told that it is transparent - which is fine if being hung on a white wall but not a colored or wallpapered wall. Finally, my panels arrived without the special attachment pieces necessary for mounting. The panels are pretty, but take these things into consideration before ordering.. Gianna. Palm Beach, FL. Artist Zoey Riley was born to very conservative and traditional parents, who did not support her interest in fine arts.
