Immerse yourself in the timeless allure of Slim Aarons' "Poolside Gossip," captured in January 1970 at the iconic Kaufmann Desert House in Palm Springs, California—a modernist masterpiece designed by architect Richard Neutra for department store magnate Edgar J. Kaufmann. This vibrant photograph depicts former model and homeowner Nelda Linsk (seated right, in a striking yellow outfit), wife of art dealer Joseph Linsk, engaged in lively conversation with her friend Helen Dzo Dzo Kaptur (left), as actress Lita Baron approaches from behind, cocktail in hand, against a backdrop of the sparkling turquoise pool, lush desert landscaping, and the majestic San Jacinto Mountains. Epitomizing the carefree glamour of mid-20th-century high society, the un-staged scene reflects the era's leisure and elegance, with the subjects' relaxed poses and colorful attire symbolizing an aspirational lifestyle that has made this image a cultural icon, even inspiring recreations decades later. Slim Aarons (1916–2006), born George Allen Aarons, rose from humble origins and World War II combat photography to become a celebrated chronicler of the elite, vowing post-war to photograph only "attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places," with his works gracing magazines like Town & Country and now preserved in the Getty Images archive. This exquisite reproduction from Soicher Marin is printed on premium luster photo paper using state-of-the-art techniques, ensuring vibrant colors, sharp details, and enduring quality that brings a touch of mid-century sophistication to any space.

This sophisticated photograph captures a woman elegantly watching a poolside fashion show at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida, on January 1, 1961. The image perfectly embodies the leisurely glamour that defined Palm Beach's social season, where fashion and lifestyle converged in the most exclusive settings. When Eric was 16 he borrowed his father's camera traipsing through the woods behind their home, walking along dirt roads in the hills above their house, looking—always looking. Eric supposes that’s what he's doing today—walking and looking and trying to see the way that others have seen, as he attempts to see, un-see, and re-see: making all things both foreign and new. Making a small space in each photo he takes, room for the viewer, a place of both welcome and challenge. Every image is a poem. Every scene has a kind of structure. The capture of a place, for instance, involves decisions of narrative perspective (where to look, from what position), of cadence (beats, breaks, a line beneath the sky), of tone. And just like a poem, the effective image compresses emotional experience into a single, small expression.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the La Concha mountains, El Venero represented the perfect fusion of Spanish architectural heritage and contemporary luxury living. This photograph captures the essence of Marbella's golden age, when the resort town evolved from a humble fishing village into the playground of international aristocracy, diplomats, and cultural luminaries who discovered the irresistible combination of Mediterranean climate, Moorish aesthetics, and Continental sophistication. Show off your personality while making an impactful statement to your décor with these stunning museum-quality art pieces. Each piece is printed in ultra-high resolution on your choice of premium ultra-HD metallic photo paper back-mounted under transparent acrylic glass or a high-definition print directly on high-quality diamond pearl white aluminum. Both results are a completely realistic ultra-HD photo print that has vivid colors, bold contrasts, is UV protected, and is halftone-free. All pieces are backed with aluminum framing which creates a floating effect and comes ready to hang. Differences between Acrylic and Aluminum: First thing to note is that you can’t go wrong with either medium! In general, the Aluminum/ Metal prints have a matte finish in comparison to the acrylic gloss finish. HD Acrylic: On 1/4" acrylic pieces the image is back-mounted under the acrylic. The optical transparent acrylic glass enhances the effect of depth and brings out the metallic UltraHD photo print’s exact contours and details for a stunning 3D effect. Because the image is printed using metallic UltraHD photo paper, this format will give you sharper lines and edges at higher resolutions. There is a reflective property with acrylic which light refracts through the acrylic glass, giving your photos substance and depth, as well as superb image quality from edge to edge. Also notable is that all our acrylic art piece’s edges are hand diamond polished to capture the surrounding light. HD Metal: On the metal pieces the image is printed/infused directly on diamond pearl white aluminum. The diamond-pearl aluminum creates a stunning shimmer with a satin seen enhancing reflective properties of the image. Images appear crisp and are very visible in brightly light areas while maintaining an overall metallic sheen. All our metal prints are made of weather-resistant material, exhibiting impressive color intensity using UV Color protected technology. This makes it suitable for covered outdoor areas or bathrooms and comes ready to hang.

Michael Schauer is a German-based self-taught photographer who grew up in the mountains and forests so naturally, he specializes in the northern and more remote parts of the planet. Michael describes his work as cinematic as well as calm. He tries to keep the colors fairly natural and the post-processing to a minimum - only enhancing what's already there.
