Guseul Park was born and raised in Korea and studied ceramics in college; however, she was always drawn to painting and drawing and is a self-taught artist. “Art means meditation to me. By creating art, I get to explore the deepest side of myself and examine my state of mind. Creating art always brought me a state of pure joy. It is the place in which I can be myself.” Her favorite medium to use is a pencil, which she describes as “back to basics art.” She finds inspiration in daily strolls and travel. She also enjoys reading and embroidery when she is not creating new artwork.

By creating art, I get to go explore the deepest side of me and examine my state of mind. Creating art always brought me to a state of pure joy. It is the place in which I can be myself.” Her favorite medium to use is a pencil which she describes as “back to basics art.”

The artist, Richard Ryder, developed an affinity towards art at an early age where he took every opportunity to incorporate art into his assignments. During his early years while attending elementary school, he would doodle on the blank side of envelopes or any discarded paper. This drove his passion to pursue taking studio art courses while in high school and continued that pursuit through a four-year formal art education. As an artist who is heavily influenced by graphic design, art deco, and traditional animation, Richard aims to capture the beauty in whichever subject he is painting. He focuses on ways to exploit the basic elements of art to create a satisfying and cohesive design. As an artist, Richard seeks to improve and challenge himself. He states “With the internet, I am constantly inspired by art either in the fine art or commercial field. It is this exposure that leads me to constantly explore different mediums and styles."
