An organic and instinctual painter, artist Sarah Stockstill’s process relies on a foundation of several layers of texture that is applied and sanded back to get a smooth surface that lets her most immediate marks shine on the surface. Artist Mark Sargent was born in Buffalo, NY, and grew up in Egypt. He studied modern art and art history at the University of Fine Arts in Cairo, Egypt. Mark's grandfather was one of the earliest generations who founded modern Egyptian art. He remembers growing up and admiring his paintings. Mark's skill set developed by studying old master paintings in museums in different countries around the world. Mark finds inspiration from nature and the world around him, such as everyday events and details that most people would miss. Mark enjoys using the oil medium for his art.
