The image epitomizes the refined lifestyle and understated luxury that defined Palm Beach society during the late 1960s. Set against the backdrop of Henry Flagler's palatial former residence, now a museum celebrating the Gilded Age, this photograph showcases the continuity of American wealth and sophistication across generations. The Flagler Museum, built in 1902 as Whitehall, represents the golden era of American industrial fortune, making it the perfect setting for this portrait of contemporary affluence. The artist, David Brown, studied and received his fine arts training at California State University of Long Beach and graduated with a BFA in drawing and painting in 2018. As a child, he watched his older brother draw and recalls wanting to draw just like him when he grew up. David currently lives in Long Beach, California, and has been lucky to show his work in multiple group shows and a few solo shows, mostly based in the Los Angeles area. His traditional work includes oil, charcoal, and graphite. He is strongly influenced by Renaissance, Baroque, and a lot of today’s contemporary work. David’s work is predominately focused on the human figure. "People are my inspiration. I love learning people’s stories and try to capture the sitter’s narrative through my drawings/paintings. I love drawing people from life, I feel that my work focuses on the relationship between artist and model". His art is his one true passion and he believes that, "artists are super sensitive and emotional human beings, our work is a physical representation of our thoughts and emotions, a diary that we choose to share with the world".

Into the Labyrinth 1 is an intriguing work on canvas that considers the realm of hyperabstraction. Transformative power is achieved by the clever use of reflected and refracted light, creating dynamic movement as well as a sense of deep depth. The dreamlike motif is interrupted by intentionally visible brushwork. A unique color palette in shades of lilac, grape, and cerulean fills the picture plane, while a stroke of illuminated white pierces the composition providing the gaze with a sharp focal point. An engaging addition to Art by TA, Into the Labyrinth 1 is a masterful study of color, light, and technique.

"Christmas Swim," captured by Slim Aarons on January 1, 1954, at a Hollywood Hills residence in Los Angeles, California, encapsulates the whimsical glamour of mid-century high society. This iconic photograph features Rita Aarons, the photographer’s wife, floating gracefully in a pool adorned with festive baubles and a Christmas tree anchored to the pool’s floor, topped with a glinting star, while two children play with floating ornaments nearby and the Hollywood sign looms in the distance. The artist, Richard Ryder, developed an affinity towards art at an early age where he took every opportunity to incorporate art into his assignments. During his early years, while attending elementary school, he would doodle on the blank side of envelopes or any discarded paper. This drove his passion to pursue taking studio art courses while in high school & continued that pursuit through to four-year formal art education. As an artist that is heavily influenced by graphic design, art deco, and traditional animation, Richard aims to capture the beauty in whichever subject he is painting. He focuses on ways to exploit the basic elements of art to create a satisfying and cohesive design. As an artist, Richard seeks to improve and challenge himself. He states that “With the internet, I am constantly inspired by art either in the fine art or commercial field. It is this exposure that leads me to constantly explore different mediums and styles."
