Artist Commentary: I love a BIG wave!!! I've stood dangerously close to the edge of the sea this day, taking photos of the big waves crash among the rocks. I remember my husband yelling for me to step back this day and I while I did take baby steps back, I kept creeping forward. By the end of my photo session, I was soaking wet and it was worth it!

Artist Commentary: I'm an avid wave watcher. I prefer a sunny day with light wind but I've been known to watch waves crash during a hot mess of a storm. For this painting, however, I got my sunny day. There was a series of these small waves approaching the shore, each one crashing in on itself. This went on for the entire hour I sat watching them. Each set of waves looked like tiny dancers and 'Pirouette" seemed like an appropriate title. This is a professionally framed piece.

Artist Commentary: **This painting is professionally framed in a 2" warm silver frame with conservation glass and backing** “Blues Traveler” was a really fun painting for me. I loved working with shades of warm and cool blues in the water as well as chasing the light and working the shadows of the rocks. If you zoom in you will see that the rocks in shadow are different values of purple, blues and greens (no browns!) and the sunlit rocks are all warm crimsons and rusts.
