Returning from his recent trip to Morocco, Ronen Azulay has been reexamining his vision regarding color. The impact on his perspective from the places he saw in the cities of Fez and Marrakesh forced him to step outside of his comfort zone. Originally from Southern California, Ryann now lives in Austin, TX. At 12 or 13, her dad pulled out his old Pentax Spotmatic from Vietnam, and Ryann was immediately enthralled and determined to learn enough to create a photo. In high school, she fell in love with photography and soon after enrolled at the renowned Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, where she earned a BA in Photography, majoring in architecture. When creating personal work, she does not think about how the images she's creating will be perceived by others and only shoots what she's drawn to. When asked what she's most influenced by, Ryann states: "I’ve long been drawn to the American Southwest and forgotten places - that still holds true today, nearly 20 years after first picking up a camera. I’ve always been drawn to the outdoors and landscapes, but I’m especially interested in the landscape that has been manipulated and left behind by a man."
