A native of Southern California, landscape painter Lori Marie grew up immersed in nature, frequently camping, traveling to national parks and sketching the peaceful scenery. She draws inspiration from Mother Nature, working with watercolor, oil and acrylic. Handmade in Austin, Texas.

Artist Commentary: Nothing says joy like the color yellow. I was amazed on a trip to Death Valley, CA, to see first hand how amazing the colors are in the desert. I saw yellows, purples, teals, oranges, pinks, aquas and greens. Everything was magnified with color, from the desert flowers to the sunsets. I was expecting browns and grays and a dull, neutral palette so you can imagine my surprise when I was surrounded by color in every direction.
