When Eric was 16 he borrowed his father's camera traipsing through the woods behind their home, walking along dirt roads in the hills above their house, looking—always looking. Eric supposes that’s what he's doing today—walking and looking and trying to see the way that others have seen, as he attempts to see, un-see, and re-see: making all things both foreign and new. Making a small space in each photo he takes, room for the viewer, a place of both welcome and challenge. Every image is a poem. Every scene has a kind of structure. The capture of a place, for instance, involves decisions of narrative perspective (where to look, from what position), of cadence (beats, breaks, a line beneath the sky), of tone. And just like a poem, the effective image compresses emotional experience into a single, small expression.

This 1970 photograph, "Poolside Gossip", showcases a quintessential Palm Springs moment at a desert house designed by famed architect Richard Neutra for Edgar J. Kaufmann, a key patron of modernist architecture. Helen Dzo Dzo and Nelda Linsk relax poolside while Lita Baron approaches in the background. The residence exemplifies mid-century modern design principles with its seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, clean lines, and use of natural materials. Palm Springs during this era was a hub for Hollywood elites and creatives seeking a stylish retreat in the desert, combining modern luxury with relaxed leisure. The image captures the era’s distinct blend of architectural innovation and glamorous lifestyle, emblematic of the post-war American fascination with sophisticated, sun-soaked living. Slim Aarons, renowned for his evocative photographs of, as he described it, "attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places," was the quintessential chronicler of high society. Brannon Naito is a self-taught photographer and videographer from Hawaii. Born in Japan, and now living in San Francisco, CA, Brannon describes his work as moody landscapes, portraits, and architecture. When describing his creative process, he says "Number one important factor in the creative process – research. Research the location, time of day to shoot, weather, traffic, etc. the list goes on. The creative process begins before you even pick up the camera. In addition, I try to shoot 2-3 shots I know I want to get with a few different focal lengths, and then I shoot 2-3 shots I wouldn’t expect anyone to shoot. This technique doesn’t always work but when it does, it provides a refreshing perspective on a likely tired view (especially in SF!)." He is most influenced by his two friends – Lance Roylo & Matthew Kawood – that he has embarked on his photography obsession. The majority of his photos and videos are highly influenced by music, television shows, and movies. Currently, moody tones tend to stylize his landscape and portrait photography, which he bases on lo-fi calm/ambiance types of music.

As a young girl, artist Michelle Bennett traveled and lived all around the world with her mother, father, and younger brother. With her father in the military, Michelle discovered many cultures early on in her life. As she traveled from place to place, she fell in love with the diversity of colors and patterns and used art as a way to bring her visions to life. Michelle is currently living in Paris, France with her husband and two daughters. Her daily walks through the streets of France provide the inspirations she needs to create visions for new art.
