This graceful chinoiserie print was discovered in a small room in the Noble Hardee Mansion in Savannah, Georgia, which has been described as “the last unrestored grand mansion in Savannah”. The house dates back to 1860, and the aged hand-printed paper is thought to have been installed by a decorator who owned the house in the 1960s or 1970s. The paper has widely been attributed to Scalamandré, and it became a mission of ours to bring it back to life, this time as a cotton chintz print with matching wallpaper. It was photographed in sections on-site, redrawn line for line, and matched for its original color of white and grey leaves against an espresso ground. The grandly scaled, nearly four-foot repeat and classic bamboo foliage speak to its adaptation from antique hand-painted Chinese silk wall panels, interpreted in a loose brushstroke style that is typical of more contemporary handprints. New color additions such as Jade and Ciel add a fresh look to this timeless design.

Not only does this Italian linen plain have an amazingly soft tumbled finish - but it also has incredible performance. The addition of a high-tech bionic water repellent finish ensures that it is soil and oil-repellent - liquids will bead up and roll off its surface. This sophisticated finish is created at the molecular level, therefore allowing the fabric to stay soft and breathable and the colors to look like new. Fifty-eight shades of versatile neutrals, softly shaded hues and vivid brights give the designer a multitude of options for creating beautiful draperies and upholstery that’s made to last.

Our Reine Embroidered Tape is inspired by an 18th-century fauteuil, or armchair, originally intended for Marie-Antoinette's grand cabinet intérieur at Versailles. The armchair boasts finely brocaded and appliquéd silk with botanical motifs. Made with viscose embroidery on cotton-satin tape, this floral decoration can add exquisite detail to the border of an upholstered ottoman or serve as a vertical element on Roman shades.
