Artist Commentary: His work is whimsical, vibrant and full of life. This painting like others in the series of sunset landscapes is luscious and tactile. The paint is applied in layers with brush then knife and the oil paint sits on the canvas like icing on a birthday cake. The sky is big and it is anchored on the bottom by a sliver of the land below. The clouds seem to jump off the canvas and the viewer is absorbed in the beauty and majesty of the image.
