While most people walk over manholes every day without a second glance, they have captivated Merenda for a long time. An addition to NYC Manhole, Brooklyn Manhole was created from rubbings of manhole covers in Brooklyn. Size: 40" wide by 12’ long Paper comes untrimmed.

Merenda created this pattern from rubbings on various NYC manhole covers, specifically covers made by foundries in NYC. Like the Native Americans whose culture and history lies beneath these manholes, the foundries near the turn of the 20th century are a thing of the past and do not thrive anymore. Disintegration—named after an album by The Cure—is a collage of photographs taken during days of walking through the streets of Havana, arranged in and filled with textures that are dissolving and reemerging in triangular forms. Merenda loved the way people used what they had to create patterns in Havana’s architecture. By using pieces of broken tile and plaster—and recycling what was around them—people created compositions of playful colors that work off of one another, creating vibrant mosaics. Loosely formed circles and diamonds are printed in raised ink dots on a solid field. The designs are an inch across packed close together to create a smart overall design.

Waves of matte color create sinuous contrasting bands against a satin finished background. The slender curving design brings grace and movement to a room.

4" High ovals frame concentric diamond shapes, while additional diamonds fill the spaces between. Minute dots and dashes add texture while the pattern has a slightly hazy effect that softens the appearance.

I had a space in my kitchen that this wallpaper worked perfect.. easy to apply and the geometric pattern was wasy to line up ..so happy we purchased..some say wallpaper is out of date.. they are wrong .. we love it !!. Kathy. Pace, FL. Tue Mar 12 2019

This geometric design mimics rectangular tiles with concentric lines and a diamond shape in the center. The finish looks distressed and, though smooth to the touch, appears to be faceted. Combine with Paolo (TD4708 – TD4711, TD4713, TD4714) or Orlando (RRD7174, RRD7177).

Two inch circles are linked together forming a screen of geometric shapes. Each circle is in two soft shades and appears to be slightly raised above the satin sheen of the background. Use with Santo (TD4756 – TD4759, TD4761) or Matteo (TD4812 – TD4815).

Rhythmic lines form an ogee pattern with raised inks on a glowing field. The background has fine horizontal striations.
