Artist Commentary: I was inspired by the view at the top of the hill on Monhegan Island. These buildings are near the lighthouse. I walked up the hill pre-dawn so I could see the first rays of light glow on the buildings. A storm was soon to follow so the adage, "red sky in the morning, sailors take warning", proved to be true.
