The item itself seems well made, but seems to be a lot plainer in person than the pictures showing on Wayfair. I selected this one at a higher price and really long lead/shipping time (2-3months), over a similar picture, due to the description stating this print had “Extra Added Texture” hand applied after printed. The painting I received does not have any texture to it that I can tell. It feels like a print with a clear coat. It did arrive 1 month earlier than the delivery date, which normally would have been appreciated, but I happened to be out of town for 2 weeks when it arrived on our porch. Maybe that is why it was early….texture didn’t get applied? I didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning, so I will keep it and maybe try adding some texture and sparkle to it myself, so it stands out a little more. Artist Jean Kenna was born in Seoul, Korea. She studied illustration at Art Center College of Design where she developed her fundamental drawing and painting skills, as well as getting basic knowledge of technical programs. For Jean, art means lots of things. She thinks art is her language and a privilege given to her to express. It is also the way that she can communicate with the world in her own unique and personal way. Jean finds her inspiration in small things that make her excited. For example, movies, a lazy day on a beach, and the silence of a rainy day. Although she mostly works on digital media, Jean loves to draw with a pen and markers. She especially likes to draw cityscapes that involve perspective and stories of city life. During the weekends, Jean often goes outside into the city, studies people and buildings around her, and brings them to life in her sketchbook. Artist Fern Cassidy was born in Oakland, ca but grew up in Colorado. She enjoys traveling, being outdoors, food and painting. Fern studied drawing and painting at CSU long beach where she learned a lot from professors that she trained under but most of her experiences.
