Summers Greenery 1 is reminiscent of American Abstract Expressionist painter Helen Frankenthaler who was known for her major contributions to the history of postwar American painting. She developed her distinctive and innovative "soak-stain" technique in the early 1950s by pouring thinned oil paint directly onto a raw, unprimed canvas laid on the ground, allowing the colors to soak into the fabric. We ordered these a few months ago, and when we decided to hang them today, we noticed they differ in dimensions! So now, because we did not check them in the 30-day period, we are stuck with the misalignment in the middle of our living room.
