Designer Curated Roll Damask Wallpaper

Gravure - Wide Width Printed Wallpaper

Traditionally printed in England, the Anaconda wallpaper is a study in contrasts: The background is soft and romantic, yet its motif of intertwining serpents (a House of Hackney signature, symbolic of transformation and healing) is subversive and seductive. And, that's all without mentioning the added contrast of its luxurious, metallic bronze finish. Each roll sold enables House of Hackney to purchase and protect 35 square meters of forest, thanks to our partnership with the World Land Trust the international conservation charity that safeguards our most vital natural ecosystems and threatened habitats, acre by acre.

Named after the ancient warrior goddess of Britain, Andastra is a hand-painted damask with distinctive bands of color in the background. Based on a motif we found in the archives of Gainsborough, the renowned silk weaving house, we have blown up its scale for a more modern feel while purposely preserving the original draftsman grids (which were used to plot the design onto the loom) as our way of celebrating the time-honored craft of weaving.

With an intricate, sunny design, this fancy wallcovering embodies a dainty pattern of authentic South Italian tiles. Tiny lemony details, contoured in bright blues and pure white make for a beautiful and delicate design, reminding us of a perfect Mediterranean holiday.

With typical motifs of stylized fruit and scrolling leaves, this understated elegant wallpaper was inspired by a grand baronial damask design dating from the early 1800s. The color balance is achieved by printing colors over a metallic background. Use in rooms where the light catches the design, and teams with the fabric of the same name for maximum impact.

Beautiful paper but color is off, I’m going to exchange for another green as the color even in my own photo appears a deeper, richer green than the actual paper. There are also small striations or markings you’d find on handmade, natural paper that I hadn’t expected but they don’t distract from the beauty of the design overall.. Jessica. Houston, TX.
