Cream Grass Cloth Floral & Botanical Wallpaper

Inspired by our hand-block printed fabric, Kelmscott Wallcovering's charming scenic design of English country life is freshly interpreted as a digitally printed grasscloth and rescaled for the story to read vertically for a wall-friendly layout. Its whimsical and scenic all-over pattern makes it a great option for libraries and bedrooms. This early twentieth-century design was discovered in an English archive including the original wood blocks cut in July 1924.

Hatched is Merenda’s nod to the detailed artistry found in Kimonos. The bold lines and use of positive and negative space mimics the patterns of woven fibers. Sizes: 48" wide by 12’ long Paper comes untrimmed. Non-Woven Option is a PVC-free, lightweight, eco-friendly wallcovering that is made from non-woven fibers and wood pulp. Paper Option is a water-activated pre-pasted substrate made from 10% recycled base paper from post-consumer waste and is FSC certified. Vinyl Option is a commercial-grade wall covering with a flat, smooth finish and low gloss.

Directly interpreted from the fabric, it has been rescaled to make a coordinating grasscloth wallcovering.

Depicting storks stood at the water’s edge and small birds perched on nearby branches, the original version of this wallpaper is believed to date between 1825 and 1850. Discovered hidden behind oak paneling at Temple Newsham in 1894, this adaptation’s pictorial scene is framed by bamboo latticework, which amplifies the height of the design.
