Brad Ellis is a Texas-based artist whose focus is on abstract painting. Throughout his career, he has continually experimented with imagery from tightly rendered, systematic patterns to loosely constructed, expressionistic compositions. He has distinguished himself by embracing the ancient medium of encaustic which is hot wax painting and is a process by which heated beeswax is mixed with pigments and applied to board or canvas and then fused to the surface with a heat source. Brad approaches each new painting with the same consistency that he's employed for many years now which he referred to as “Pattern, Rhythm, and Process.” He typically starts each painting by building up layers of paper and/or fabric collage materials by cutting and mounting these pieces onto the canvas or board and arranging them in a way to form the underlying pattern of the painting. This helps lay the foundation for the initial imagery and paves the way for the applications of the other mediums.

Emma Brooks was born in Brooklyn, New York to a liberal family that encouraged her artistic abilities from a young age. Growing up in the busy city life, Emma became inspired by the various cultures and lifestyles she encountered in the city. With a broad interest in design and modern art, Emma was accepted to the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island. In her studies in Providence, she was able to admire a slower lifestyle than the hustle and bustle of life in New York. Brooks drew inspiration from her professors and the long-time interest she retained in aesthetics and unique beauty. Emma currently resides in downtown Los Angeles with her dog, Jackson. She enjoys the creative expression that Los Angeles has to offer, and is always seeking new artistic awakenings to portray in her artwork.

This is a print. A copied print, stapled to a wood frame. The border says "wayfair..." in white. I ordered knife gel. There are no raised areas where the color/ paint was applied. The PRINT is exactly the same as the picture, with the difference being; in person, there is very little green/blue coloring in the background, it is grey, its a muted grey green. Oddly enough the pink in the flamingos is VERY pink, not muted. I purchased both Tropical Plumage 1 & 2, these are very pricey prints, shocked at the misrepresentation by this site. An organic and instinctual painter, artist Sarah Stockstill’s process relies on a foundation of several layers of texture that is applied and sanded back to get a smooth surface that lets her most immediate marks shine on the surface. Responding to color and forms, she follows as led. Sometimes into a deep horizon with traces of landscape, an organic jungle of pattern, a human figure, and every now and then an animal with an ethereal mystique. Most always layers are created and taken away, leaving small traces whose threads become more important for doing so.

Austin grew up on the tough streets of Brooklyn, where the expression of oneself was usually done through wall tagging—or as they say in Italian, "graffito." He was influenced by many different artists, particularly Fernando Carlo, who was well known for his expressive graffiti. That childhood influence is where the edge and contemporary look of his art pieces come from. After graduating from Pratt Institute in the early ’90s, he now travels all over America looking for inspiration, whether it’s a tagged wall or an art museum. Austin loves to embrace all the unique and expressive simplicities life offers.

Former Atlanta-based artist Kyle Goderwis graduated from The Art Institute of Atlanta in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. In 2006, he was invited to participate in his first gallery show in Atlanta. Since then he has showcased his work in over a dozen gallery shows in the Southeast. In 2010, Kyle joined a group of working professional artists to further his education in the fine art world. A recent transplant to Seattle, he has been with Grand Image since 2014 and creates a variety of abstract and expressionist paintings and other mixed media artwork.
