I am so disappointed in the item I received. My painting doe not look remotely like the painting pictured online. Instead of the complex mixture of dark blues, light blues and grays that I was expecting, I got a cheap-looking version that is 50% dark blue, 50% champagne with random dabs of gold in the middle. Growing up, artist Helen parker loved to paint. Her favorite childhood memory is painting with her mother. This led Helen on a path to the world of art. As a young adult, she went to art school and instantly knew she wanted to make this her life’s work. Helen received her fine arts training at laguna college of art and design and is currently based in Los Angeles, California. She is taking a break from her travels and learning to live in the city and find inspiration through her current surroundings. I was born in the Foothills of California, a small town called Tuolumne, fairly close to Yosemite National Park. I studied textile design and oil painting. I studied at a local community college back home and at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise. Art has a lot of meaning for me.
