An enchanting, statement-making pattern with a surprising and sophisticated palette; inspired by a 1920’s Schumacher design.

Trent, which began life in 1888 with the grand accolade of being Morris & Co.'s most expensive printed textile, is a rich, vibrant floral display. This luscious pattern features curving tulips and meandering acanthus leaves amongst other stalwarts of English gardens. Trent seamlessly imagines two of William Morris's guiding design principles, ensnare the eye with sprawling repeats and beguile with masterfully rendered motifs.

The jackfruit has an intriguing history, having been one of the main causes of the 'mutiny on the Bounty' in 1789. In this stunning Sanderson design, the stylized jackfruit, surrounded with intricate botanical detail creates a real statement.

This floral chintz is based on one of the stars of our archive, an ac-1870 fragment of fine cotton. This modern interpretation expands the scale but retains the original charm.
