This delightful photograph captures a gathering of young matrons in Palm Beach, Florida, elegantly dressed in the vibrant, colorful Lilly Pulitzer shift dresses that defined the height of resort fashion sophistication in April 1964. The women are wearing the signature "gaily coloured Lilly Pulitzer shift" that had become the unofficial uniform of Palm Beach society, embodying the carefree elegance of America's most exclusive resort destination. This photograph captures the pivotal moment when Lilly Pulitzer's bright printed cotton shifts had transformed from juice stand practicality into high society fashion following Jackie Kennedy's endorsement, representing the birth of American resort wear. Aarons masterfully documents the cultural phenomenon that was Palm Beach in the mid-1960s, where the casual elegance of country club life merged with tropical glamour to create a new aesthetic that defied conventional fashion rules. This scene embodies the sophisticated leisure culture that made Palm Beach the playground for America's elite families including the Kennedys, Rockefellers, and Whitneys, where "floridly bright and dazzlingly patterned shifts" became synonymous with refined casual chic. The image represents the essence of 1960s high society's embrace of color, comfort, and tropical sophistication that would influence American fashion for decades to come. Slim Aarons, renowned for his evocative photographs of, as he described it, "attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places," was the quintessential chronicler of high society. After serving as a war photographer, Aarons turned his lens to a new landscape: the glamorous lives of Hollywood elites, Palm Beach socialites, and jet-setting debutantes and princes. His work for society publications captured an aspirational world of leisure and luxury that defined the American upper class throughout the mid-20th century, creating images that remain timeless symbols of sophistication and style. Every piece in our unique Slim Aarons collection is meticulously handcrafted using archival materials and printed on premium, luster photographic paper with environmentally safe inks, custom framed by skilled artisans who ensure that each work of art meets the exacting standards befitting such an iconic photograph.

The artist, David Keochkerian, lives in Somme, France. He has a Ph.D. in human physiology and works in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. He's been practicing photography for 5 years now, although he fell into the cauldron when he was a child. His father is now a retired photographer. He grew up with the smell of chemicals and the shutter snap and purr of his roller transport print processor. "I like to capture the fleeting, the subtle, the beautiful, the rare, the spectacular, and the staggering to reveal how the daily and the ordinary can be filled with enthusiasm." His work is very heterogeneous. He uses and associates many photographic techniques (DRI, HDR, panoramic, vertorama, long exposure), image renditions (color, B&W, infrared), and different themes (landscape, macro, light-painting, architecture, industry).

This charming photograph captures the iconic Lilly Pulitzer boutique in Palm Beach, Florida, taken on January 1, 1968, showcasing the vibrant retail environment that embodied the brand's spirited approach to fashion and lifestyle. Three young women are pictured in their red, turquoise and white canoes in the sunshine at Zephyr Cove, set against the crystal-clear waters of this alpine jewel straddling the California-Nevada border. The scene captures the essence of post-war American optimism and the emerging culture of active leisure, when outdoor recreation became synonymous with the good life. This photograph represents the perfect fusion of natural splendor and recreational sophistication that made Lake Tahoe a beloved destination for those who appreciated both adventure and elegance, embodying the spirit of freedom and joy that characterized American leisure culture during this golden era of prosperity and possibility.

“Poppy in Mono” by Lotte Grønkjær captures the fleeting elegance of a single bloom rendered in deep grayscale. The artist isolates the flower against pure black, allowing the soft gradation of light to reveal texture, fragility, and quiet strength. A timeless botanical study transformed into a statement of minimalist beauty. Curated through R2H Modern’s exclusive small-batch collection celebrating fine photographic artistry and craftsmanship.

Show off your personality while making an impactful statement to your décor with these stunning museum-quality art pieces. Each piece is printed in ultra-high resolution on your choice of premium ultra-HD metallic photo paper back-mounted under transparent acrylic glass or a high-definition print directly on high-quality diamond pearl white aluminum. Both results are a completely realistic ultra-HD photo print that has vivid colors, bold contrasts, is UV protected, and is halftone-free. All pieces are backed with aluminum framing which creates a floating effect and comes ready to hang. The first thing to note is that you can’t go wrong with either medium. In general, the Aluminum/ Metal prints have a matte finish in comparison to the acrylic gloss finish. On 1/4" acrylic pieces, the image is back-mounted under the acrylic. The optical transparent acrylic glass enhances the effect of depth and brings out the metallic UltraHD photo print’s exact contours and details for a stunning 3D effect. Because the image is printed using metallic UltraHD photo paper, this format will give you sharper lines and edges at higher resolutions. There is a reflective property with acrylic which light refracts through the acrylic glass, giving your photos substance and depth, as well as superb image quality from edge to edge. Also notable is that all our acrylic art piece’s edges are hand diamond polished to capture the surrounding light. On the metal pieces, the image is printed/infused directly on diamond pearl white aluminum. The diamond-pearl aluminum creates a stunning shimmer with a satin seen enhancing reflective properties of the image. Images appear crisp and are very visible in brightly light areas while maintaining an overall metallic sheen. All our metal prints are made of weather-resistant material, exhibiting impressive color intensity using UV color-protected technology. This makes it suitable for covered outdoor areas or bathrooms and comes ready to hang.
