A heraldic symbol of Jane Seymour, Seymour Panther resides in Hampton Court's Privy Garden. Wonderfully hardwearing and adorned with characterful spots, our interpretation is inspired by a small-scale woven document in the Zoffany archive.
This tribal design speaks to the confluence of trade in the Dorset region. Raw silk is in the spotlight and our geometric tribal design, interpreted as an embroidery, gives dimension to the dots rising above the raw silk ground and is offered in earthy, natural hues and unexpected pastel tones.
