Rare antique Syrian highly crafted and engraved incense burner/candleholder constructed of solid brass. Exhibiting an intricate hand-engraved and reticulated Moorish pattern, elaborate brass handles, and an ornate footed base. Functional fire pit in the center and hand-pierced brass lid with calligraphy and bird ornament. Museum a quality piece, with excellent artisan craftsmanship and definitely a prized antique. Original aged patina. A great accent piece and a stellar example of Islamic brass Folk Art.
