Artist Fern Cassidy was born in Oakland, CA, but grew up in Colorado. She enjoys traveling, being outdoors, food, and painting. As the daughter of an artist, Julie was always exposed to and dabbling in different mediums. While she took countless art classes, she never landed on a particular medium that was called to her. Her need to be creative instead led her down a path that included an MFA in advertising design and a decade-long career as an art director. After stumbling upon alcohol inks at an art show and experimenting at home, Julie had finally found HER medium - the process itself spoke to her as none other had before. It is the actual process of working with alcohol inks that she enjoys. She pours combinations of ink and rubbing alcohol and directs the ink with a heat embossing tool that blows hot air, so there are no brushes or contact with the surface. It's like a little science experiment every time and is extremely rewarding. Julie's work tends to be vibrant, playful, and full of layered movement.

Kept it but the bison on the actual painting are a lot darker and less contrasted than shown. Looks like a giant black blob on white canvas unless you look closely. I ordered the Image Knife Giclee finish, which turned out to be very heavily textured and very glossy. It looks like plastic, which makes it pretty obvious that its a fake representation of an original. Artist Mark Sargent was born in Buffalo, NY, and grew up in Egypt. He studied modern art and art history at the University of Fine Arts in Cairo, Egypt. Mark's grandfather was one of the earliest generations who founded modern Egyptian art. He remembers growing up and admiring his paintings. Marks skill set developed studying old master paintings in museums in different countries around the world. Mark finds inspiration from nature and the world around him. Such as everyday events and details that most people would miss. Marks enjoys using the oil medium for his art. In Marks's free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and playing billiards.
