Sara Brown was born in Oakland, California in 1990 to an underprivileged family but was fortunate enough to grow up with a loving, happy family. Although she did not grow up with much, her family always encouraged and supported her to follow her dream to be an artist. Sara decided at an early age that she wanted to travel the world and create art through her experiences. She traveled to many places including parts of Asia, Europe, and the United States. All the art she is creating is based on the inspirations she gained through her many travels. Currently, she resides in Los Angeles, CA creating art and gaining inspiration through the new people she meets every day.Drawing creative inspiration from traveling the world was a goal for artist Sara Brown since she was very young. Her abstract works are rooted in nature, as in "Nature Life I", and are resplendent with color and minute detail. Jess has been painting with watercolors and oils on large canvases, small scraps of paper, and everything in between for as long as she can remember. She went to Savannah College of Art and Design, never thinking that one day she would “actually” become an artist. That took a bit longer to realize. But here she is, living the dream. Jess's mission is simple: to make beautiful work that makes people feel extraordinary. Her aesthetic is influenced by her African upbringing - using simple lines, rich colors, and organic shapes to capture life in every form. She believes the process is just as important as the outcome when she's inflow and she enjoys the process the work feels fresh, effortless, and alive. After she conceives a new idea she tries to spend some quality time with it - to let it sink in. Then usually the work comes out very quickly. If it doesn’t, she never forces it, she just goes outside for a bit, clears her head, and comes back later. It’s amazing what fresh air can do for perspective.

I was born in the Foothills of California, a small town called Tuolumne, fairly close to Yosemite National Park. I studied textile design and oil painting.
