Artist Commentary: A few summers back there was a huge meteor that landed in a Russian city. I was inspired by this to create an abstract impression of the event.

Artist Commentary: Many of my paintings are translations of popular music heard on the radio today. For this series, I took the songs by Michael Kiwanuka and translated his blend of blues, R&B, and jazz, with melodies that strike a chord in today's time. They are beautiful, rhythmic, and feel like coming home. I am thankful for his music as it has helped me create these paintings during the quarantine. For all my paintings, I use professional-grade materials. The painting is sealed with a UV protectant, acrylic varnish to keep the colors vibrant for its lifetime.
