This iconic photograph captures American writer C.Z. Guest (Mrs F.C. Winston Guest, 1920 - 2003) and her son Alexander Michael Douglas Dudley Guest in front of their Grecian temple pool on the ocean-front estate, Villa Artemis, Palm Beach in January 1955. The image epitomizes the sophisticated leisure culture and refined elegance that defined Palm Beach's golden age as America's premier winter resort destination during the mid-1950s. Depicting one of America's classic beauties who was named to the International Best Dressed Hall of Fame List in 1959 in her element at the magnificent estate designed in 1916 by architect F. Guest became a fashion icon with her unfussy, clean-cut style that was seen as typically American. This image represents the perfect synthesis of old-world architectural grandeur and new-world glamour that made Palm Beach the ultimate destination for America's social elite. Slim Aarons, renowned for his evocative photographs of, as he described it, "attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places," was the quintessential chronicler of high society. Austin now travels all over America to look for inspirations whether it’s a tagged wall or an art museum. Austin loves to embrace all the unique and expressive simplicities life offers.

By creating art, I get to go explore the deepest side of me and examine my state of mind. Creating art always brought me to a state of pure joy. It is the place in which I can be myself.” Her favorite medium to use is a pencil, which she describes as “back-to-basics art.” She finds inspiration in daily strolls and travel.
