I am so disappointed in the item I received. My painting doe not look remotely like the painting pictured online. Instead of the complex mixture of dark blues, light blues and grays that I was expecting, I got a cheap-looking version that is 50% dark blue, 50% champagne with random dabs of gold in the middle. James was introduced to art at a young age by his father while sitting on his lap and copying his father's pencil drawings. His life has always revolved around design and creativity. His great grandfather immigrated to New Zealand from England in 1858 and is a published writer his art hanging in the Museum of Art, Auckland, New Zealand. James paints with a palette knife which he has been using for over fifteen years. He studied how to paint Alla Prima and finds the knife the best tool to encourage a lively and impressionistic treatment; providing an exciting contrast of scale, and adding greatly to the impact of the finished painting.

L. Bodine grew up in the pastoral lands of Kentucky, using the colors and patterns in nature as his inspiration. As the oldest of nine children, he spent most of his time taking care of his younger brothers and sisters. During his spare time, he used art as an escape from his busy life. Obsessed with the peace of mind that art gave him, he decided to pursue his career as an artist. Although he resides in Kentucky near his family, he spent most of his adult life traveling the country and soaking up all the inspirations. L.
