Guseul Park was born and raised in Korea and studied ceramics in college; however, she was always drawn to painting and drawing and is a self-taught artist. “Art means meditation to me. By creating it, I get to explore the deeper side of myself, examine my state of mind, and enter a state of pure joy. It is the place in which I can be myself.” Her favorite medium to use is a pencil, which she describes as “back to basics art.” She finds inspiration in daily strolls and travel, and she also enjoys reading, sewing, and embroidery when she isn't creating new artwork.
