Fern Cassidy was born in Oakland, CA, but grew up in Colorado. She enjoys traveling, being outdoors, food, and painting. Fern studied drawing and painting at CSU Long Beach; while she learned a great deal from her professors, most of her experience comes from her dedicated practice. She works in all mediums—including oil, acrylic, watercolor, and gouache—but also likes to experiment with textiles and fiber arts. Fern finds opportunities to explore colors and shapes, drawing inspiration from daily life and her surroundings. “Art is a means to preserve and find meaning in life.”
