This abstract modern painting uses expressive, textured acrylic layers to create real depth, shifting from moody greens and blues at the base to warmer highlights overhead. A bright white center transition pulls your eye in and keeps the composition feeling open, not heavy. Your wall called—it wants clean lines. Fleet balances contemporary minimalism with a modernist, geometric layout: angled strokes that feel crisp, considered, and quietly bold. High-contrast black and white adds depth without the noise, playing well with soft neutrals or color-forward rooms. Acrylic paint on canvas keeps every edge sharp, while a solid pine frame gives the piece a clean outline. Simple, structured, and saying plenty.

Spring Currents is an original abstract painting, using acrylic ink, alcohol ink, and acrylic paint, by Boston-based artist Cynthia White. There are moments, after big Spring rainstorms, when the spring petals fall with such force and volume, that the rushing water of rivers, streams, ocean, and even city street rivulets are a mix of foaming water and bright, riotous Spring colors. Sprint Currents shows the view of those layers through the energy and movement of shapes and colors.

Brad Ellis is a Texas-based artist whose focus is on abstract painting. Throughout his career, he has continually experimented with imagery from tightly rendered, systematic patterns to loosely constructed, expressionistic compositions. He has distinguished himself by embracing the ancient medium of encaustic which is hot wax painting and is a process by which heated beeswax is mixed with pigments and applied to board or canvas and then fused to the surface with a heat source. Brad approaches each new painting with the same consistency that he's employed for many years now which he referred to as “Pattern, Rhythm, and Process.” He typically starts each painting by building up layers of paper and/or fabric collage materials by cutting and mounting these pieces onto the canvas or board and arranging them in a way to form the underlying pattern of the painting. This helps lay the foundation for the initial imagery and paves the way for the applications of the other mediums.

Drawing inspiration from calligraphy and the gestural abstract works of the late 20th century, the artist uses one color to highlight the beauty of the brushstroke, which serves as the focal piece of the artwork. The black and white color palette further ties the work to Eastern artistic movements and zen philosophy from which the artist drew inspiration.

The artist, D’Alessandro Léon, was the youngest of three brothers. When art competitions were a form of play for the brothers, it later grew to his obsession. D’Alessandro attended the Art Institute of California where he explored mixing mediums as well as digital. He also attended illustration, Sculpting, and Fine Art workshops. After spending long periods of time studying different techniques, D’Alessandro’s art became increasingly influenced by artists from the early 1900s. During D’Alessandro’s studies, he painted many different themes. He painted with restless intensity, often painting from morning until night. D’Alessandro was able to indulge his earliest artistic preferences for people, nature, architecture, and landscapes in his illustration and personal pieces.

Artist Eve Fairwell has been lucky to have had her childhood passion for art fostered throughout her life via classes, college, and various generous mentors. Eve took all the art classes she could in school, eventually resulting in a senior year of high school filled with four periods of art and the required English and Math. From the ages of 12-15 she trained under a local oil painter whose paintings were sought after in Iran, and in college was mentored by an illustrator for the Times. Eve received her BFA in painting and illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Though she started with playtime watercolor sets, long years of practice, observation, luck, and dedication are what have allowed her to become a full-time artist today. Eve works with acrylic paint, watercolor, and digitally in Photoshop and Illustrator. She is obsessed with the textures that traditional media can produce and often incorporates these into her digital artwork using a combination of effects, which creates a result that draws the eye in. Eve likes how colors interact in digital formats, and the feeling of depth traditional media lends. The style’s that influenced her are minimalism, expressionism and the work of some surrealists captures her interest. Eve’s focus centers on the moments of rest between the bustling movement in our everyday lives. The few seconds that pass eerily quietly in a noisy city; the hush that comes over a room just before the birthday person arrives; a glance that stops you in your tracks. Eve likes still moments of hush that give you chills and make you pause to recognize we are all here, alive, right now experiencing the beautiful weirdness of life. To show this, Eve’s abstract subjects are often explored by feelings in the body or reductions of elements of scenes that cause that feeling to occur.

In turn, it makes me happy when people get to own part of those pieces to share with the world.” Van prefers working in liquid acrylics and watercolors because of their fluidity. “I like how the colors flow. I like to observe how the different shapes and mixtures come alive.” Van finds animals, humans, and nature are his favorite subjects to paint. He is inspired by nature, people, and music.
