T. R. Joseph is a native of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He grew up studying dance and performance and continued his education at Point Park University. His studies led him to a passion for choreography and installation artwork. He began taking his live compositions and translating them onto canvas and paper. The T. R. Joseph style is best described as a bold but playful myriad of expressive shapes and colors that bounces out into space from the wall. He continues to expand his horizons as he finds new and different ways to create relatable abstractions in space. Hand-embellished giclee on fine art paper. Size includes frame.

Artist Commentary: I often create while listening to music. Many times I feel influenced by particular artists during my studio time. This painting was one of those.
Artist Commentary: This quilted wall hanging is the second in my series "Luminosity" and again I have limited my palette to focus on color pop. The fabrics are hand dyed by me, machine strip pieced and machine strip quilted in my signature style.

Artist Commentary: This painting came about after spending day after day and week after week away from society and family. I tried to do a painting that reflected my state of mind right now.
Artist Commentary: Scatter Surface is a raucous little acrylic painting on stretched canvas. For me, it's about taking risks to find a balance between order and chaos. Scatter Surface flirts with disaster by pushing the limits of color and surface contrasts almost to the breaking point... but it holds together. This is a great little painting for placement in a smaller space where it can be viewed intimately.
