This is a beautiful print that fits in perfectly with the decor in our sitting room. Very peaceful and serene. At the recommendation of Design Services, we ordered the 'glass coat' to create a more 'high end' look. Unfortunately, we get a lot of natural light in this area which creates a glare. I would have preferred to have an all white Matt finish around the perimeter and an off-white....there is a 1/4 inch matt border surrounding the primary edge of the print, followed by another 1/4 inch matt border in green, followed by another approximate 2 1/4 inch matt border in off-white. Although your website indicates only the large 2 1/4 inch matt border without any reference of the 2 smaller borders....It is the presence of the off-white that detracts from the overall look/success of the print. I feel the white border referenced in your website permits the overall print to stand out much more pronounced, as compared to the off-white which tends to mute the Japanese depiction of the village coastline. As the oldest of nine children, he spent most of his time taking care of his younger brothers and sisters. During his spare time, he used art as an escape from his busy life. Obsessed with the peace of mind that art gave him, he decided to pursue a career as an artist. Although he resides in Kentucky near his family, he spent most of his adult life traveling the country and soaking up all the inspiration. L. Bodine continues to travel, spending his time in nature and studying the different palettes and shapes of the world as inspiration for new art.

Elena Carlie was born in Romania; a country known for its rich cultural heritage and great natural beauty. At the age of 22, she moved to the United States where she expanded her horizons and grew as an artist. She has studied Fine arts since she was a child and currently holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of NH. “Art defines our humanity, freedom, and individuality. It is a way to articulate abstract thought and separates us from other life forms. Art is incredibly therapeutic for me, and foremost a strong passion. It’s not something I think about, but rather, something I feel.” Carlie finds inspiration everywhere. She strives to discover new ways of interpretation and sees this as a formula to remain fresh. It is a way of having fun while doing something that she loves. “To me, anything that can be manipulated can become an art medium.” “I love to work with watercolor paint, oil paint, acrylic paint, pencil, pen, and ink. However, the digital tools available today are pushing the limits of creativity and I find myself very involved with it.”
