Born in Modesto, California, artist Ryan Brown's focus in college was studying business. He took a few college art courses but is mostly self-taught. He finds pleasure in studying the work of artists he enjoys and creates his own work from inspiration. Ryan believes that "Art is human creativity. It is meant to inspire and evoke emotion, just like music." He finds his inspiration through everyday life and sees each moment as an opportunity for creating new art. Ryan enjoys working with a variety of mediums, but he prefers to work with oils and charcoal.

Kim is an Austin-based artist specializing in abstract paintings. She was raised in Houston, TX where she realized her passion for art at a young age. After years of focused practice, she studied at Texas Christian University where she fostered her love and skill in painting. Brad Ellis is a Texas-based artist whose focus is on abstract painting. Throughout his career, he has continually experimented with imagery from tightly rendered, systematic patterns to loosely constructed, expressionistic compositions. He has distinguished himself by embracing the ancient medium of encaustic which is hot wax painting and is a process by which heated beeswax is mixed with pigments and applied to board or canvas and then fused to the surface with a heat source. Brad approaches each new painting with the same consistency that he's employed for many years now which he referred to as “Pattern, Rhythm, and Process.” He typically starts each painting by building up layers of paper and/or fabric collage materials by cutting and mounting these pieces onto the canvas or board and arranging them in a way to form the underlying pattern of the painting. This helps lay the foundation for the initial imagery and paves the way for the applications of the other mediums.

The Artist, D’Alessandro Léon, was the youngest of three brothers. When art competitions were a form of play for the brothers, it later grew to his obsession. D’Alessandro attended the Art Institute of California where he explored mixing mediums as well as digital. He also attended illustration, Sculpting, and Fine Art workshops. After spending long periods of time studying different techniques, D’Alessandro’s art became increasingly influenced by artists from the early 1900s. During D’Alessandro’s studies, he painted many different themes. He painted with restless intensity, often painting from morning until night. D’Alessandro was able to indulge his earliest artistic preferences for people, nature, architecture, and landscapes in his illustration and personal pieces.

David’s passions are drawing, painting, illustration, design, film, and photography. When David is not painting, he spends his time enjoying the outdoors with canine companions.

Artist David Erickson grew up emulating the works of the masters using rudimentary tools. David received his fine arts training while apprenticing under other painters and is primarily self-taught. He became an artist through sheer will, grit, and determination. “I enjoy layers of transparency and the unpredictable nature of water-based mediums.” David explores themes of memory and place often through abstraction and draws inspiration from the world around him, across a multitude of disciplines.
