Fern Cassidy was born in Oakland, CA but grew up in Colorado. She enjoys traveling, being outdoors, food & painting. Artist Janice Sadler created her painting series in watercolor as an ode to her Southern California home. Janice particularly likes working in watercolors because "the subtle colors intermingle, wash and flow into each other and new colors evolve from it." Janice is inspired by the ocean and local flora. Austin Beiv grew up in the tough streets of Brooklyn. Where the expression of one’s self was usually done through wall tagging, or as we say in Italian "graffito". Austin was influenced by many different artists particularly Fernando Carlo. Fernando was well known for his expressive graffiti. The influence from Austin’s childhood is where the edge and contemporary look comes from in his art pieces. Austin graduated from Pratt Institute in the early ’90s. Emma McCartney was born in the Foothills of California, a small town called Tuolumne, fairly close to Yosemite National Park. She studied textile design and oil painting. She studied at a local community college back home and at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise. Art has a lot of meaning to me. It’s a way of communicating, expressing herself, and connecting herself to her thoughts and to others. She finds inspiration mainly from nature and emotions. She likes to use all mediums, but my favorites are oil, acrylic, and watercolor. She enjoys being outdoors, playing music, painting, singing, writing, and being with friends.
