Artist Janice Sadler created her painting series in watercolor as an ode to her Southern California home. Janice particularly likes working in watercolors because "the subtle colors intermingle, wash and flow into each other and new colors evolve from it." Janice is inspired by the ocean and local flora. This watercolor series is ideally suited to recreating the visual flavor of the seaside.

Romantic Figures 3 is a series of six playful prints reminiscent of illustrated playing cards. The series is a delightful mash-up of early synthetic Cubist sentiments and bold German Expressionist figures. Synthetic Cubism of the early 20th century began to blur the boundaries between painting and sculpture by offering a new understanding of the pictorial surface. During the same time, German Expressionism broke traditional norms of representing the human figure. Romantic Figures 3 wonderfully embraces both artistic movements. The captain of the King’s army is seen here. Picasso’s influence is evident in the captain’s Cubist facial structure and the textural proportions in the foreground of the print that highlight various angular patterns and forms. Part of the exclusive Art by TA collection, Romantic Figures 3 offers a striking portrayal of Synthetic Cubism and German Expressionism in this original series of works.
