I’m obsessed with this one. We got a lot of artwork for this client’s house and this one is one of my favorites. It’s edgy and cool and really adds personality to an otherwise plain space. Austin Beiv grew up in the tough streets of Brooklyn. Where the expression of one’s self was usually done through wall tagging, or as we say in Italian "graffito". Austin was influenced by many different artists particularly Fernando Carlo. Fernando was well known for his expressive graffiti. The influence from Austin’s childhood is where the edge and contemporary look comes from in his art pieces. Austin graduated from Pratt Institute in the early ’90s. Austin now travels all over America to look for inspirations whether it’s a tagged wall or an art museum. Austin loves to embrace all the unique and expressive simplicities life offers.

Just a Sip 1 is a captivating monochromatic photograph that suspends the viewer in a singular moment in time. The extreme closeup of the glass and its contents are slightly blurred giving the image a dreamlike quality. Beads of light are reflected in the glass creating a glittering, almost celestial effect. The viewer is drawn into the motion, the flow, the simple act of pouring, and the anticipation of the sip to come.

Jakob Wagner was born in 1985 in Herdecke, Germany. In summer 2008, he successfully completed his three-year apprenticeship as a photographer. After five more years as a photo assistant for a few renowned photographers, he started his own business in Düsseldorf specializing in landscape, aerial, cityscape, industrial, and fine art photography. Brannon Naito is a self-taught photographer and videographer from Hawaii. Born in Japan, and now living in San Francisco, CA, Brannon describes his work as moody landscape, portraits, and architecture. When describing his creative process, he says "Number one important factor in the creative process – research. Research the location, time of day to shoot, weather, traffic, etc. the list goes on. The creative process begins before you even pick up the camera. In addition, I try to shoot 2-3 shots I know I want to get with a few different focal lengths, and then I shoot 2-3 shots I wouldn’t expect anyone to shoot. This technique doesn’t always work but when it does, it provides a refreshing perspective on a likely tired view (especially in SF!)." He is most influenced by his two friends – Lance Roylo & Matthew Kawood – that he has embarked on his photography obsession. The majority of his photos and videos are highly influenced by music, television shows, and movies. Currently, moody tones tend to stylize his landscape and portrait photography, which he bases on lo-fi calm/ambiance types of music.
