Driven by modern minimalism, artist and graphic designer Dan Hobday's unique rendering is framed within natural maple for a clean, museum-quality look.

Summers Greenery 1 is reminiscent of American Abstract Expressionist painter Helen Frankenthaler who was known for her major contributions to the history of postwar American painting. She developed her distinctive and innovative "soak-stain" technique in the early 1950s by pouring thinned oil paint directly onto a raw, unprimed canvas laid on the ground, allowing the colors to soak into the fabric. Summers Greenery 1, a large-scale, non-representational work on canvas, carries on that method by applying thinned layers of color to achieve both translucency and saturation. A wide swathe of thin paint extends across the top of the painting and has been allowed to drip down the canvas, another hallmark of Abstract Expressionism. Former Atlanta-based artist, Kyle Goderwis, graduated from The Art Institute of Atlanta in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. In 2006, he was invited to participate in his first gallery show in Atlanta. Since then, he has showcased his work in over a dozen galleries in the Southeast. In 2010, Kyle joined a group of working professional artists to further his education in the fine art world. The description of this item is misleading. It clearly says it is gray, black, and white, but it is actually primarily blue, which does not match with anything in my house. I am being charged to return it, although the problem was not on my end. I called to explain this to the representative and he basically said there is nothing he can do.
