Austin was influenced by many different artists particularly Fernando Carlo. Fernando was well known for his expressive graffiti. The influence from Austin’s childhood is where the edge and contemporary look comes from in his art pieces. Austin graduated from Pratt Institute in the early ’90s. In 2017, after years of sourcing artwork for countless interiors from outside sources, Hampton + Dunes Creative Director Michelle Mancuso decided to launch the brand’s exclusive art collection that would perfectly complement their clients’ homes.
