"Colourful Crew," captured by Slim Aarons on June 1, 1970, aboard a yacht off the coast of Antibes, France, radiates the vibrant charm of the French Riviera's elite. This lively photograph showcases a group of stylishly dressed friends, their bright attire popping against the deep blue Mediterranean Sea, as they lounge and converse on the deck, with the distant shoreline and azure sky framing their relaxed elegance. The un-staged scene captures the essence of 1970s jet-set leisure, blending nautical adventure with effortless sophistication, evoking a timeless allure that continues to inspire those drawn to the glamour of coastal high society. Slim Aarons (1916–2006), born George Allen Aarons, rose from humble origins and World War II combat photography to become a celebrated chronicler of the elite, vowing post-war to photograph only "attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places," with his works gracing magazines like Town & Country and now preserved in the Getty Images archive. This exquisite reproduction from Soicher Marin is printed on premium luster photo paper using state-of-the-art techniques, ensuring vibrant colors, sharp details, and enduring quality that brings a touch of mid-century sophistication to any space.

Artist Jean Kenna was born in Seoul, Korea. She studied illustration at the art center college of design where she developed her fundamental drawing and painting skills, as well as getting basic knowledge of technical programs. For Jean, art means lots of things. She thinks art is her language and a privilege given to her to express. It is also the way that she can communicate with the world in her own unique and personal way. Jean finds her inspiration in small things that make her excited. For example, movies, a lazy day on a beach, and the silence of a rainy day. Although she mostly works on digital media, Jean loves to draw with a pen and markers. She especially likes to draw cityscapes that involve perspective and stories of city life. During the weekends, Jean often goes outside into the city, studies people and buildings around her, and brings them to life in her sketchbook. Jean believes the purpose of an artist’s work is in bringing excitement and happiness into people’s minds. ‘I love to create art that makes your heart warm’.

This iconic photograph captures guests by the pool at the Hotel du Cap Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, in August 1976. The image epitomizes the zenith of French Riviera luxury and the sophisticated leisure culture that defined the Côte d'Azur during the glamorous 1970s. This photograph of vacationers soaking up the sun poolside at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc encapsulates the good life, showcasing the legendary hotel that has served as the ultimate sanctuary for international high society since 1887. Set against the pristine Mediterranean coastline of Cap d'Antibes, this photograph captures the essence of Continental sophistication at its most refined, where the hotel's exclusive pool terrace became the epicenter of European summer society. The scene represents the perfect fusion of natural beauty and cultivated elegance that made the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc the preferred retreat for Hollywood royalty, European aristocracy, and global luminaries who sought the ultimate expression of luxury leisure in one of the world's most breathtaking settings. Slim Aarons, renowned for his evocative photographs of, as he described it, "attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places," was the quintessential chronicler of high society. After serving as a war photographer, Aarons turned his lens to a new landscape: the glamorous lives of Hollywood elites, Palm Beach socialites, and jet-setting debutantes and princes. His work for society publications captured an aspirational world of leisure and luxury that defined the American upper class throughout the mid-20th century, creating images that remain timeless symbols of sophistication and style. Every piece in our unique Slim Aarons collection is meticulously handcrafted using archival materials and printed on premium, luster photographic paper with environmentally safe inks, custom framed by skilled artisans who ensure that each work of art meets the exacting standards befitting such an iconic photograph.

Stormy Summer offers a blurred composition of muted color that suggests swirling clouds. The color scheme in dove gray, smoke, teal, and Prussian blue adds to the moment of the work on canvas. A glimmer of a brighter sky breaks through in a patch of alabaster. An abstract depiction of a warm summer rain flows through this original work of art on canvas. Part of the carefully curated collection, Stormy Summer provokes a passionate response through deliberate brush strokes in a palette of earth tones.

I am very disappointed with this piece of art. I was sent a replacement that I thought was going to address the issues I had with the original. I was sent the exact same item with the glossy overlay, which makes it look cheap, like a hotel piece of art. You can see from the photos how awful it looks in my room. It has a glare so bad you can only see what is reflecting. It looks nothing like what is posted on the website. Very disappointed and would like a refund, if possible.. Anonymous. Arkansas.
